BOSaNOVA Inc. Enhances Security Features Across its Product Line

Adds 128-bit encryption to all BOSaNOVA Thin Clients Ships BOS e-Twinax Controller with free encryption option

Phoenix, June 16th, 2005 – Martin Pladgeman, President of BOSaNOVA, Inc., announces the release of new software updates that enhance security across its product line:

• The BOSaNOVA WTC Thin Clients (which are based on Microsoft CE.Net) as well as the BOSaNOVA LTC Thin Clients (which are based on Linux) now come with 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption on the TN5250e GUI Emulation software, plus an encrypted connection to Microsoft Terminal Server using SSH.
• The BOSaNOVA XTC Thin Clients (which are based on Windows XPe) now include the BOSaNOVA Secure TN5250 emulation product. This latest emulation product from BOS provides 128-bit SSL encryption, plus SSO (Single Sign On) support.
• The BOS e-Twinax Controller, which enables Twinax devices to communicate with the iSeries over a pure TCP/IP network, now comes with the BOSaNOVA Secure TN5250 software encryption option included free of charge for a limited time.

“With all the emphasis being placed on internal security, BOSaNOVA is enhancing its product line to meet customer demand,” said Pladgeman.

“Studies have shown that most security breaches are made by people inside the network rather than from external sources such as the Internet. With these new features, customers using the latest Thin Client products from BOSaNOVA will have all internal traffic protected by industry-standard 128-bit encryption,” he explained. “Experts say that 128-bit encryption is so secure that it will remain the industry standard for at least another 10 years.”

“The convenience of Single Sign On (SSO) with the XTC product provides an industry first in Thin Clients,” Pladgeman added. “Until now, the use of SSO was limited to PCs, since the multi-emulator product offered by most Thin Client manufacturers lacks the sophistication required to accomplish SSO with IBM systems. BOSaNOVA yet again is pushing the envelope for iSeries users in this emerging market.”

Pricing and Availability
These new versions of software for the Thin Client ship as standard to new users. The BOSaNOVA Secure software is available free of charge on any new e-Twinax Controller sale, by request.
