5250 Performance Comparison

Testing was performed using a screen refresh program on IBM 520 running V5R3. Screen refresh program is available on request. This program sends a new 5250 screen as soon as the last screen was displayed. Therefore this test portrays the highest possible screen refresh capability for iSeries screens.

Most users are use to Twinax displays which run at around 400 screen refreshes per minute. To move these users to a Thin Client which has a screen refresh of only half the speed or less is not normally well received. The RBT-466 Thin Client actually outperforms even the original Twinax terminal allowing for increased production.
