What is Virtual Desktop Infrastructure?

A Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (also referred to in the industry as VDI) is an environment in which a desktop operating system such as Windows or Linux, is hosted on a centralized, remote server. End users’ data, as well as desktop images, are managed within what is called a “virtual machine
