DMEA 2026

DMEA 2026 once again proved why it has become one of the most important events in the Healthcare IT calendar. Held at the Messe Berlin, the event brought together more than 22,000 attendees, 900 exhibitors, and over 200 sessions focused on the future of digital healthcare, telemedicine (DiGA) and mobile health technologies across the healthcare sector.

Joining 10ZiG at the booth were valued partners zimmer & lange IT Systeme GmbH and ergo Computersysteme GmbH, with all three organizations enjoying three days of insightful discussions with healthcare providers, and technology leaders from across the DACH region.

From the moment the exhibitors began preparing their stands ahead of the event, there was a real excitement surrounding DMEA 2026. By the opening morning, the exhibition centre was buzzing, as thousands of attendees arrived from across Germany and beyond by train, car, bicycle and scooter all eager to explore the latest innovations shaping the future of healthcare technology. That energy remained constant throughout the event, creating an incredibly engaging environment for discussions around digital transformation, security, infrastructure modernization and patient outcome focused technology.

Why DMEA Matters

Healthcare organizations across the DACH region are facing growing pressures to modernize IT infrastructure while continuing to deliver exceptional patient care. Rising operational costs, cybersecurity concerns, workforce pressures and evolving user expectations are forcing providers to rethink how technology is deployed, secured and managed across hospitals, clinics and healthcare facilities.

DMEA provides the ideal platform for healthcare organizations to explore solutions capable of addressing these challenges head on. For 10ZiG, this event represented an opportunity to showcase how secure, flexible and centrally managed endpoint solutions can help healthcare providers simplify IT operations while improving the clinician and patient experience.

10ZiG’s approach continues to focus on enabling fast, secure and reliable access to virtual desktops and electronic health records, helping to reduce clinician log-in times, streamline workflows and support modern healthcare environments built around mobility and flexibility.

Through the 10ZiG Ready Tech Alliance Program, 10ZiG continues to strengthen its position within the healthcare ecosystem by working closely with key technology partners including Imprivata, Amazon Workspaces, Citrix, Microsoft, Omnissa, Parallels and Nutanix.  These relationships help ensure that 10ZiG solutions integrate seamlessly with the technologies healthcare organizations already rely on every day.

What We Heard from Healthcare Organizations

One of the biggest takeaways from DMEA 2026 was how consistent the challenges were across healthcare providers throughout the DACH region. Conversations repeatedly centred around rising costs for VDI platforms, increased secure operating system subscription fees, growing infrastructure complexity, and the operational burden of managing large estates of mixed endpoint devices across multiple sites.

Many organizations expressed frustration with environments that have become increasingly expensive and difficult to manage, often leading IT teams focused on maintaining legacy processes rather than driving modernization initiatives. At the same time, providers are under pressure to improve security posture, standardize user experiences, reduce operational overhead, and support increasingly mobile clinical workforces.

These challenges align closely with the solutions 10ZiG delivers.

10ZiG’s single vendor endpoint strategy combines secure Thin Client and Zero Client hardware, secure Linux based operating systems for third-party x86 hardware, and a 100% free management server, all purpose-built for VDI, DaaS and WebApp environments.

By removing subscription complexity and enabling a flexible OS led strategy, 10ZiG helps healthcare organizations deliver a secure, intuitive, standardized and centrally managed user experience cross both native 10ZiG devices and existing PCs, laptops and third-party Thin Clients.

This approach is particularly relevant for organizations balancing Windows end of life pressures, increasing operating system subscription costs, and growing cybersecurity concerns, all while managing constrained IT resources and constrained budgets.

Typical healthcare use cases discussed throughout the event included…

  • Shared workstations
  • Imprivata SSO workflows
  • Roaming clinicians
  • Nursing stations
  • Mobile clinical workstations
  • Multi-site endpoint management

Alongside 10ZiG hardware and operating systems themselves, 10ZiG Manager generated significant interest throughout the event. The zero touch deployment capabilities, remote shadowing and support, scheduled updates, role-based access, and simplified multi-site management resonated strongly with healthcare IT teams looking to reduce complexity and improve operational efficiency across distributed healthcare environments.

Closing Thoughts

DMEA 2026 reinforced something that is becoming increasingly clear across Healthcare IT: flexibility matters more than ever. Organizations are under constant pressure to modernize infrastructure, improve security, reduce operational complexity, and support better patient outcomes, all while managing rising costs and limited resources.

What stood out most during the event was the growing desire to regain control. Control over endpoint strategy. Control over how desktops and applications are delivered to users. Organizations are no longer looking at isolated pieces of the puzzle, they are looking for long-term strategies that allow them to adapt as technology, security requirements and user demands evolve.

This is exactly where 10ZiG continues to resonate. By combining secure endpoints, flexible Linux based operating systems and centralized management under one roof, 10ZiG helps organizations simplify the endpoint experience without sacrificing choice or future flexibility.

Clinics and hospitals are increasingly looking for reliable, trusted, and stable technology partners rather than simply individual products. Many conversations at DMEA reinforced the importance of working with vendors that understand healthcare challenges and can provide long-term flexibility, consistency and support.

10ZiG continues to offer this level of vendor relationship with healthcare organizations across the DACH region and beyond.

“DMEA 2026 was a fantastic event, and we greatly appreciated being part of the 10ZiG booth throughout the exhibition. The conversations with healthcare organizations highlighted a string demand for secure, flexible and manageable endpoint solutions that can help simplify increasingly complex IT environments”.

Michael Zimmer, zimmer und lange GmbH

DMEA 2026 provided a great opportunity to connect with healthcare organizations actively evaluating how to modernize and simplify their endpoint environments. We are proud to support 10ZiG at the event and showcase solutions designed to give healthcare providers greater flexibility, security and long-term control over their infrastructure”.
